SUMMER READING PROGRAMS begin!!

Registration for Denny Ashby Library's summer reading program, Color Our World, will begin Wed., June 11^th. The library will be open from 10:00 – 6:30 to kick off the program, but participants have until June 26^th to sign up. Everyone who registers on the 11^th will have an opportunity to win a t-shirt or small prize. There is a version for everyone (children, teens, and adults). To participate, children who are pre-readers through incoming 6th graders set a goal for the number of books they plan to read (or have read to them) during the 10 weeks of summer vacation. A prize is awarded at the halfway point and those who complete their goals will be awarded a coupon for ice-cream at Meyers Hardware and the opportunity to choose a book for the library's collection. A bookplate is placed inside honoring the reader’s success.

Teens and adults participants play "Color Our World Bingo" for a chance to win one of four $50 cash prizes. Watch the library’s Facebook page for drop-in program updates and a planned movie at the Seeley Theater sponsored by Friends of the Library. For more information call 509-843-3710.
